This comprehensive training platform hosted by LinkedIn, the business focused social media site, provides thousands of courses, learning pathways and expert instructors to help grow your knowledge on a huge range of topics.

Features of LinkedIn Learning

There are many features you and your team can benefit from, such as:

• Certificate of completion to add to your LinkedIn profile, sharing this with your network. You are also able to download and print out this certificate as a PDF.

• Learn anytime through the mobile app and offline access.

• Lifetime access to the courses you pay for, so you are able to go back and rewatch any of the content.

• Users can take courses at their own pace and on their own schedule; this is particularly useful for people who need to balance work and study.

• Interactive exercises and quizzes.

• Receive course recommendations based on your learning history and skills already flagged on your profile.

Topics Available

LinkedIn Learning has an enormous library of over 18,000 courses available and the content offering is wide and varied, with these falling into four general categories: Business, Creative, Technology and Certifications.

Under Business, Creative and Technology, you are able to search for courses through your current role. Below is an example from the Business section, showing a list of job titles; each tab provides the top courses suggested for people who fall under that role profile.

You can also search by topics such as well-being and self-care, communication, time management, data analysis and spreadsheets.

Under Certifications, you are able to take courses to help prepare for professional certification exams, such as content created in collaboration with Microsoft.

Pricing Options

LinkedIn Learning offers subscription-based pricing, which gives learners access to all courses and features on the platform. An individual monthly subscription costs £29.99, while an annual subscription costs £203.88. Both types of subscription offer the same benefits, however annual subscriptions offer a discount for those willing to commit to a longer period of learning.

Business can also provide access for a team; 2 to 20 licenses costs £199.99 per license for a year. For 21+ licenses you need to contact the LinkedIn team to work out a package for your business.

Pay per Course

You can also pay for individual courses, without needing a subscription.

For example, the Excel Essential Training (Microsoft 365) course is £29.99. This gives you access to 38 videos with 2.5 hours’ worth of content, as well as a quiz at the end of each section to test knowledge learnt.
